The Society only offers mortgage facilities for properties in England, Wales, Gibraltar or situated in defined geographical areas of the Costa del Sol and the Costa Blanca, Spain.

The Society will on occasions introduce customers requiring general insurance products to its subsidiary Norwich and Peterborough Insurance Brokers Limited (NPIB). NPIB is also authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Customers will be advised whether the Society or NPIB is advising on and arranging their insurance. Insurance is subject to acceptance by insurers.
Banking
Applicants must be over 18. Overdraft facility available subject to status. Full written details and quotations are available on request from the Society.
The Society uses a credit scoring system when assessing applications and will make enquiries of licensed credit.
The Society subscribes to the Banking Code.
Insurance
Insurance is provided for customers of Norwich and Peterborough Building Society by Norwich and Peterborough Insurance Brokers (NPIB). The Society will on occasions introduce customers requiring general insurance products to NPIB, a member of the Norwich and Peterborough Group. NPIB is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority www.fsa.gov.uk/register/ and entered in the Financial Services Authority Register under Registration No. 116669.
Customers will be advised whether the Society or NPIB is advising on and arranging their insurance. Insurance is subject to acceptance by insurers.
Travel insurance
The Norwich and Peterborough Travel Insurance Scheme is underwritten by AXA Insurance UK Plc, a member of the AXA group of companies. Registered Office: 5 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1AD. Registered in England No. 78950. AXA Insurance UK Plc is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Norwich and Peterborough Insurance Brokers and AXA Insurance UK Plc are not members of the same group
