Spanish mortgages

All you need to know

  • The property must have a minimum valuation for mortgage purposes of £60,000.
  • All loans are in Sterling. Mortgage payments must also be made in Sterling by Direct Debit from a UK Bank or Building Society.
  • You can borrow up to 75% of the property value. For older properties (typically over 20 years) certain restrictions may apply.
  • Reservation fees apply.
  • Maximum repayment period is 40 years.
  • Repayment and interest only mortgage for the full term available.
  • Maximum age of oldest applicant is 70 years at the end of the mortgage term for an interest only mortgage, or 80 years old for a repayment only mortgage.
  • We cannot offer mortgages on properties which are intended for letting purposes.
  • The standard minimum advance is £20,000 (unless stated otherwise).
