Definitions

The interest rates we pay on these accounts may go up and down from time to time

1. Interest will be paid gross (that is before the deduction of income tax) to non-taxpayers subject to eligibility and the required registration. Otherwise interest will be paid after deduction of income tax at the appropriate rate. Please note that gross interest cannot be paid to a customer aged 16 or over unless that customer is the named account holder.

2. Net rates (that is after the deduction of income tax) shown are for illustrative purposes only. The interest you earn will currently be taxed at the rate of 20%.

3. AER means Annual Equivalent Rate and shows what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and added wach year.

4. The interest rate(s) payable may be varied by the Society at any time in accordance with the General Conditions for savings and investments (as set out in the seperate booklet).

5. This bonus applies where no more than one withdrawal per year has been made and 12 consecutive monthly payments have been made.

6. The interest rate payable on Family Regular Saver after the first year is variable and can go up or down at any time. The rate shown is for illustrative purposes only and is not guaranteed. However, it does represent the rate that we would hope to pay immediately after the end of the first year assuming that all factors relevant to the setting of interest rates remain as they are at today's date.

Telephone calls may be monitored and recorded to help with staff training and improving customer service and security. The Society subscribes to the Banking Code.
